LettPay’s Pledge to Help Cancer Research UK- May Update

Last month was a chilly one for our founder, Garrett. In a bid to raise more money for Cancer Research UK, he took to the icy waters of the North Wales coast. Although sunny, the air was brisk but true to his word, Garrett faced the waves. As he had pledged to swim for 5 minutes for every £50 raised, he swam (without training) for 35 minutes with the cold air and water enveloping him. His two boys kept him going from the shore, chanting and cheering him on. Alfie, the office dog, was less keen to offer support - it must have been cold, as usually it’s impossible to keep him out of the water.

As he was swimming, the money was coming in, with messages of support and his favourite Auntie telling him that he wasn’t allowed to swim for any longer, he had to do as he was told and stick to the 35 minutes.

We are all really proud of his efforts, especially as our total raised for this amazing cause, has rocketed to £450.

Our efforts aren’t stopping there. This month we are planning an evening of bingo for friends and family. If the quiz is anything to go by, it should be a giggle.

We are all doing our bit to try to raise money for cancer research. We will be continuing our challenges.
